Former Brookfield Schools Business Manager Arrested

The former business manager of Brookfield Public Schools has been arrested on larceny and forgery charges. 

Little information has been released, but Arthur Colley, 57, of Danbury, turned himself in at the police station at 9 a.m. on Monday after learning their was a warrant for his arrest.

Police started investigating on Jan. 28 when a complaint was filed over an incident that happened on Feb. 14, 2014.

Colley resigned over audit disclosures that showed overspending and other problems.

He has been charged with second degree larceny, defrauding a public community, and third-degree forgery and was released after posting a $10,000 bond.

He's due in court on March 20.
